I have never considered myself to be the "blogging" type, nor am I some kind of exceptional writer. As the Lord has been working HE has opened and is continuing to open great opportunities that I want my friends and family to be apart of. Therefore, a blog is the perfect way to go about that. Also, I have been highly advised to start one by so many loving friends (Mrs. Christy:)). The title of this blog is "Hands and Feet in Uganda", as believers we are called to go out and be the hands and feet of Christ. The Lord has given me a chance to do just that as I go and serve in Ekisa orphanage in Uganda for two months. I will try to update as often as possible, but I cannot make any promises of how often that will be. I apologize in advance for all of the grammar mistakes that will most likely be made within my post. My prayer is that this blog would be used to glorify the Lord and to make HIS name known.
As of right now i am in route to Uganda!! I should be arriving in about 14 hours. Please be praying for the people of Uganda, for the staff and children at Ekisa, and for safe travel. Love you guys!
I am one blessed girl to have so many wonderful family and friends, but that sure does not make saying 'goodbye' easy...Here are a few pictures before boarding my first flight.
